The Long Beach Martin Luther King Center Inc. presents our 2017 annual awards dinner and fundraising event, a hope and a future empowering the community with courage, dignity, truth and justice. The award dinner will be listed historical from the current leadership and appreciation to the honorable past and present activists whom stood forth for the Long Beach MLK Center Inc. for their hard work and dedication for many years. We also have history coming from the appearance of the keynote speaker Dr. Bernice A. King (Daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr). The Long Beach M.L.K Center Inc. Youth Council with the support of SPG (Sisterhood Progressively Growing), Hype Girls would like you being a parent of a child, a youth in the community or a youth out of town from ages 7-16, we would love for you to join the EASTER CELEBRATION on Thursday, April 13th, 2017 which features, music &amp fun, candy, bounce house, win prizes, a easter egg treasure hunt and more! All of the fun BEGINS at 3:00PM on Thursday April 13, 2017 located at the Long Beach Martin Luther King Center in Long Beach, NY (615 Riverside Blvd). We ask all youth to come out and participate in this FREE program. Everything is FREE during the program. The youth council has many surprises to present to YOU during the event. Please come out and have a lot of fun. The Long Beach Martin Luther King Center Inc. Youth Council presents a black history program themed as a&nbspFight For Freedom&nbspon Friday February 24th, 2017 at 7:00 PM. The program will&nbspshowcase many key components such as spoken word artists, the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Play,&nbspa presentation from the M.L.K Afterschool Program. We also have prepared a SOUL FOOD DINNER for our people. We eat with amazement! We&nbspteach&nbspa little bit about your black history because nobody can tell our story better than we do. Continue to carry the legacy that our ancestors held for centuries! We ask and accept all types of donations to help support the cause! We are accepting financial, food, clothes donations! All financial donations can be donated on this website.&nbspWe really appreciate the support from all sources. We invite all New York State and local public officials to the Long Beach MLK Center, Inc. along with many community and faith-based organizations an residents of greater Nassau County, N.Y. in celebration of the life and legacy of REV. DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. All are invited to march. Please bring your banners and posters. The march begins at 11:30 A.M, leaaving from Laurelton Blvd &amp West Park Avenue following a designated route from West Park to Riverside Blvd., to East Market Street, to JJ Evans Blvd., to East Pine Street, arrive at the Long Beach MLK Community Center, 615 Riverside Blvd., Long Beach, N.Y 11561.

Welcome again everybody, the youth council are back at it again with our 3rd gaming tournament fundraiser. We are asking all to participate. Please come out, first have fun, bring your skill and win to take home money prizes. In this gaming tournament, we will be playing NBA 2K17 and one more game which will be voted on by the participants. Again, this is a fundraiser for the Long Beach MLK Youth Council and the general admission to participate is $5 for each game. Please come out and support the cause.
